To fight Dengue threat, NDMC opened 52 additional fever clinics

North Delhi Municipal Corporation in an effort to provide more diagnosis and treatment facilities to the fever patients has opened additional 52 fever clinics in the areas under its jurisdiction which will function from 8 am to 2 pm every day.

These clinics would function from 15 polyclinics, 26 dispensaries and 11 maternity homes. These clinics have been provided with adequate stock of medicines and other supplies for this purpose. They have also been directed to daily report the number of fever cases and number of suspected dengue cases refereed to hospitals to Director Hospital Administration and Municipal Health Officer at headquarters.

Additional Commissioner (Health) Mayank Sharma also wrote a letter to President, Delhi Medical Association (DMA) attracting their attention on some important issues and urging them to communicate all the medical practitioners through their channel to follow standard clinical protocol on diagnosis and treatment of dengue cases, appropriate use of platelets and other blood products and to utilize the government health infrastructure free treatment for the poor patients.

He also appealed them to curb the spread of dengue and extended all required help from the North Delhi Municipal Corporation.
