New York, August 8 (ANI): Steven Spielberg will be launching a new CBS series about astronaut's homecoming, 'Extant,' it has been revealed.
The TV series is following on the heels of Spielberg's successful production 'Under the Dome' and will be debuting next summer.
The 'Extant' is the saga of a female astronaut who tries reconnecting with her family after a year in space.
Spielberg and CBS have promised in a statement that the female astronaut's experience will lead to events that ultimately are going to change the course of human history, the New York Daily Post reported.
President of CBS Entertainment, Nina Tasslersaid that 'Extant' is a very original concept with layers of humanity, mystery and surprise that reveal itself throughout the script. (ANI)
