Veteran Actor and Politician Shatrughan Sinha who went on under bypass heart surgery on Monday after making a complaint of breathlessness is now in better condition and is rehabilitating very quickly, sources from the Kokilaben Hospital, Mumbai where he was admitted, said.
According to sources, the Chief Operating Officer of Kokilaben Hospital Dr Ram Narain informed to media that veteran actor is now fine and is on the road to a speedy recovery and will be back home shortly.
'Sinha is at present in Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) where is on conscious condition and facing no problem in talking. But doctors have advised him to not to talk too much', added Dr Narain.
Sinha who have recently shifted to his newly constructed seven-floor home 'Ramayan' faced severe breathing problems after renovation works.
Doctors who examined Sinha on Monday said that he had bronchial allergy due to strong smell from painting works at his home 'Ramayan'.
After completing thoroughly body checkup, doctors found coronary blockage in his artery and they advised bypass surgery to Shatrughan as soon as possible.
Senior Cardiac Surgeon Dr Anvay Mulay conducted the surgery. The surgery took four hours, sources said.
His wife Poonam Sinha, daughter 'Dabangg' fame Sonakshi Sinha and his twin son Luv-Kush were present at the time of his surgery, added sources.
Sinha made his Bollywood debut in 1969 with 'Sajan' and has acted in over 200 Hindi films, besides being a part of some Bengali and Punjabi movies.
Known for his powerful dialogues, some of his famous Hindi films include 'Kalicharan', 'Vishwanath', 'Blackmail', 'Dostana', 'Shaan' and 'Kala Patthar'.
Later, he ventured into politics and is currently BJP's Lok Sabha member from Patna Sahib in Bihar.
