Recently released Indian comedy movie "Bol Bachchan" starring Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role has started with a terrific opening in North America generating the best debut this summer for any Bollywood film.
Rohiy Shetty directorial "Bol Bachchan" which was released last Friday by Fox International Productions, grossed $562,000 in its first three days leaving behind the opening of Akshay Kumar's "Rowdy Rathore" by 47 percent despite playing in less number of theatres, according to Boxofficeguru.com.
The debut of the movie also crossed the collections of Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra starrer "Teri Meri Kahaani" starring Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. Moreover, "Bol Bachchan" grossed more than triple the opening weekend of the last Rohit Shetty-Ajay Devgn project "Singham" that was released in July last summer.
According to the Hollywood Reporter Abhishek Bachchan gives "one of his best performances to date" in the movie and that the film is full of "engaging performances and ever-spiraling hysteria."
In addition to that, "Bol Bachchan" also made its presence in the Top 20 at the North American box office and also got number one opening in India.
