Tablets are showering in India and the latest entry to it is Huawei MediaPad. Though it has great specification with bright display, decent touchscreen and runs on Android Honeycomb, the price with which it is launched is way too much. Most of the tablets are going on the road of being cheaper but this tablet at Rs. 28, 000 is really expensive.

The tablet has an Aluminum finish to its body with sharp edges. It has a Power button and Volume control on the right. Huawei MediaPad boasts a 7.0 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen that has a support of 256K colors and resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels.
Huawei MediaPad operates on Android Honeycomb v3.2 operating system and has plan it to upgrade to v4.0. It has Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon chipset generates its power from Dual-core 1.2 GHz Scorpion processor and has a Adreno 220 GPU.
Huawei MediaPad has 3G support of HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 and a quad band GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 frequency support. The dimension of this tablet is 190 x 124 x 10.5 mm and it weighs 390 g.
Huawei MediaPad is topped with a 5 MP camera that can take pictures of resolution 2592x1944 pixels. Camera comes with auto-focus and Geo-tagging. It can also record video at 720p@30fps. It also sports a front camera of 1.3 MP camera for video calling. It can record video at 720p@30fps.
This tablet has an internal storage of 5.8GB storage, 8GB ROM and 1GB RAM. It has HSDPA that gives Internet speed of 14.4 Mbps and HSUPA that gives Internet speed of 5.76 Mbps. The tablet comes preloaded with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, EDR.
It has Sensors like: Accelerometer, gyro and compass. It comes with SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail and IM facility. This tablet has A-GPS support as well.
Output ports of this tablet are: a 3.5 mm audio jack on the top, HDMI port and a Micro USB v2.0 (USB On-the-go support) port at the bottom-side of the tablet. It also has a micro SD card slot inside the back cover that can be used to extend memory up to 32GB.
