Nupur to stay one more night in jail, bail order reserved

Nupur Talwar will have to remain one more night in the jail as court has reserved it order on her bail plea. Now Nupur, who is accused in the murder case of her daughter Arushi, has to spend one more night in the Dasna jail.

Nupur's lawyer Parakshit Luthra argued that interim bail should be granted to her because if she is jailed, it would affect her reputation. The lawyer said that bail should be granted till the time proper hearing of bail application was done while claiming that the CBI itself has said that it did not have enough evidence against her.

After hearing the arguments of the defence and the prosecution, the court decided to pronounce its order on Wednesday.

Neither Nupur, nor her husband Rajesh Talwar, who is also an accused in the murder case, were present in the court.

It is noted that her bail application before the special court was rejected following opposition from the CBI. She was sent to the Dasna Jail and spent Monday night there.

Earlier, the Ghaziabad court had issued a non-bailable warrant against Nupur after she failed to appear before a special CBI court despite a deadline given to her.

CBI has accused Nupur and Rajesh Talwar for murdering their teenaged daughter Aarushi in May 2008.
