New Delhi, Fri, 20 Apr 2012 NI Wire

157 was the score Deccan Chargers placed on the board for Delhi Daredevils to get but little did anybody knew that 70 % of the run would come from one bat. With not so big total to chase and having players like Shewag, Jayawardene and Taylor on Delhi side, it was KP whose name was echoing in Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium.

9 sixes and 6 fours all over the ground by Kevin Pietersen made the target look midget and Delhi Daredevils marked a 5 wicket win over Deccan Chargers in the 23rd match of IPL.

This is the fourth straight loss for Deccan Chargers in IPL 2012 and they are at the bottom of the points table. On the other hand Delhi Daredevils are sitting at the top of the table with 4 wins in 5 matches they have played.

Batting first Deccan Chargers made 157 runs with the help of some good batting by Shikhar Dhawan and Parthiv Patel, Morkel and Nadeem of Daredevisl took 3 wickets each. While chasing Delhi lost two quick wickets but this day was all about Kevin has his ton. Dale Steyn again performed superbly by taking 2 wickets and giving away just 19 runs, DC has yet not find an able partner of Steyn.

KP made 103 in 64 balls and was awarded man of the match for his blistering performance.
