Odisha abduction crisis: Maoist leader released a fresh audio tape

The release of abducted Italian tourist operator and BJD legislator still seems to be cloudy, as Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda on Wednesday issued a fresh audiotape stating that they were ready to release the Italian citizen Basusco Paolo (55), if government made it clear that it would keep its promise.

In his latest released audiotape, Panda said that government first made it clear the name of the Maoist leaders selected for release and also clarify that how many points out of 13 would be fulfilled.

However, Maoists have said nothing about abducted MLA J Jhina Hikaka who was kidnapped from Koraput on March 24.

Meanwhile, Sabyasachi Panda’s wife Subhashree Panda was acquitted by a fast track court in connection with an encounter case, which raises the hope of her release.
