Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram has said that to solve the Odisha hostages crisis, centre is assistingto the state govt. and ministry is in contact with the Odisha C.M. Whether uses of force is suitable or not, it is state govt. which has to decide on the prevailing circumstances.
Chidambaram quoted that two persons are still in the captive of them and at this circumstance the state govt. steps to negotiation is right one. Taking the help of security forces is such a decision, which can't be discussed in public, and it is state govt., which have to decide on the existed circumstances and facts, he added.
He said that his ministry is in contact with Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik and also central govt. employees are providing all the assistance to the state govt. Even Odisha cm has assured him that he has getting all help from the central govt. employee.
"They did not ask for any specific assistance. They of course have asked for sharing of any intelligence and as you know intelligence is being shared on daily basis and sometimes it has been shared more than once," he stressed. (With inputs from IANS)
