Famous Yoga guru Ramdev, who has been in the news for sometimes due to his anti-black money campaign, announced his entry to the business world in the FMCG and herbal retail sector with his 'swadeshi' line of ayurvedic products
Baba Ramdev will soon start selling his brand Patanjali's products that will be available in the open market in more than one lakh swadeshi Kendra across the country to be established by Ramdev by April this year. Said Balkrishna.
These outlets will sell more than 100 over products including oil, soap, and salt at affordable prices. In addition to that, various Ayurvedic Medicines and Herbal Products, publication, VCDs, DVDs , MP3s, audio CDs, audio Cassettes on yoga exercise will be also available in the outlets.
Addressing to the reporters Baba Ramdev said "In our country swadeshi is limited to khadi only but we will take it further," Ramdev told reporters here.
"There are people who will see only business in this venture, but I consider this my rashtra dharm" he added.
Baba Ramdev also mentioned that these swadeshi products will is quite cheaper up to 30% than the presently available products of various MNCs like HUL and P & G. He said that the business model have been formulated keeping in view both lives and economy of people residing especially in rural areas.
"Yoga, ayurveda and swadeshi are not a profession but a mission for us," He said.
"Approximately half the economy of the country is in the clutches of corrupt people and foreign companies. Our mission is to strengthen swadeshi," baba Ramdev added.
Moreover, the products will be available in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh and by March 10. In the next phase it will be made available in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
