Delhi Haat Pitampura sees Disha Foundation's Book Fair

Delhiites can enjoy the book fair at Delhi Haat, Pitampura that started on Friday, March 16, 2012. This book fair is showcasing works of some of the prominent writers of Hindi literature.

Disha Foundation with the cooperation of National Book Trust of India is showcasing this book fair. Some of the famous publications that are participating in this fair are Navneet Publication, Global Vision Express, Bharatiya Kala Prakashan, Sanskriti Sansthan and Kitab Prakashan.

This book fair has history books, literature books, computer books, Math and all other educational books for the students of all ages, especially for the college student.

To teach and guide housewives many cookery books are also available that has recipes and tips for making different types of delicious food items. Famous chef, Sanjeev Kapoor books are also available.

Books on the charismatic people who have made an immortal mark on the world are also available like biographies on Gandhi, Vivekanand, Adolph Hitler, Karl Marx, Napoleon Bonaparte, Mother Teresa, Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh and many others.

Kids are the main focus of this book fair and many books besides educational one are also available for them. From comic books to Panchtantra to Jungle Book to joke books to several others are being placed in almost all the stalls that will entertain and educate their children.

On March 18, 2012 a Symposium and Hasya Kavi Sammelan will also be organized that will se many famous Hindi poets and Media Personalities. The Symposium will start on 4.30 pm in the evening and Hasya Kavi Sammelan will start on 5.30 pm on the same evening.

The book fair is open to all from 10.30 am in the morning to 07.00 pm in the evening. This fair will continue till 19 March 2012.
