Sachin Tendulakar, for whom even the term "legendary" falls short, is always mystical to watch while he is holding the bat on field. This is the reason he has been named as the "God of cricket" and he really justifies this name. Regardless to say that he is the greatest batsman of all times as the statistics says everything.

England v India, Old Trafford, 1990
One of the most special innings of Sachin is his first test century against England in his debut series. India was at the verge of yet another loss with a score of 186-6 when the 17-year Sachin took the responsibility on his shoulder and led the match to a draw withy an unbeaten knock of 119 runs. This was the rise of the "Little Mater" who became bigger and bigger with time.
Australia v India, Perth, 1992
On the pace supporting pitch of Australia and the devastating balling attack of Craig McDermott and Merv Hughes, when the wickets were falling at the other end, Tendulkar took the charge on his arms and made a classic total of 114 runs. In this inning, India made a total of 272 runs. Even Sachin rates this innings as one of his best.
South Africa v India, Cape Town, 1997
This was another most remembered counter-attack in a very hostile condition in South Africa. South Africa made a handsome total of 529 runs in their first innings and blown the top order of Indian side with 58 for five in the scoreboard while chasing. Tendulkar then took the charge in his hand along with Azharuddin and smashed a cracking 169 with 26 boundaries in his century.
India v Australia, Chennai, 1998
This is one of the finest innings of Tendulkar in his career against the world's best tem Australia where Tendulkar showed his all skills to play various innovative strokes against the much hyped spinner Shane Warne and made a grand total of 155 not out. Seeing his batting, later Shane Warne admitted that he made him clueless with his batting and later gave him the top position of the 50 greatest cricketers of world.
India v Pakistan, Chennai 1999
Though the match resulted in defeat of India but this inning of Sachin can never be forgotten. Chasing a huge score of 271 against Pakistan, Indian batsman could not resist the fast attack of Pakistan and collapsed to 82 for five. Suffering from a back injury, Tendulkar stood like a fighter at one side and made a heroic 136 but felled to Saqlain Mushtaq and his all efforts were in vain as India lost the match finally.
