Amitabh to undergo abdominal surgery today

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who few days ago has revealed about his abdominal surgery is likely to admit in Seven Hills hospital in suburban Andheri where his daugher-in-law and actress Aishwarya Roy had delivered a baby last year, media sources says.

Amitabh Bachchan Thursday disclosed on Twitter, a social micro blogging site that he would go under the knife once again, as he is feeling some stomach pain.

"My stomach which has already been the bed of many complicated battles in the past, shall have to entertain this as well," Amitabh wrote on Twitter.

He also informed that he would go for some investigation and CT Scan before undergoing the knife.

"Ok in hospital and ready to get some investigations, before they allow me to sleep," he tweeted.

However, he also informed that this time it would be a minor surgery. "The surgery they say is not too complicated," tweeted Amitabh.

The sources say that famous gastroenterologist Dr Jayant Barve, who is his family doctor, will oversee the operation, a VIP room has been booked at the fifth floor of the hospital and tight security has been employed for his safety.

Before going for the surgery, he thanked to all his fans and well wishers by writing on his blog, "I wish to thank all those that have most graciously sent in their concern and greetings for a speedy recovery. Your prayers shall go a long way in bringing me back to normal and for this I am always eternally grateful."
