Talaash has earned 49 crores at the box-office in the opening weekend and still is going strong. Aamir Khan has made a strong comeback with this film.
Talaash has broken the record of 3 Idiots by this. 3 Idiots fetched 40 crores back then in 2000.
On Sunday morning, the occupancy at the multiplexes was 75% and it jumped up to 85% in the evening and the night shows. On Sunday, the film earned 17 crores - 19 crores making it 49 crores overall.
Aamir was last seen in Dhobi Ghat, which released in 2011.
The film is directed by Reema Kagti who has also co-written it with Zoya Akhtar. Story of the film is strong and maintains the suspense and the thrill till the end.
Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee have been appreciated a lot. Aamir has played the role of Inspector Surjan Singh Shekhawat while Rani plays the role of his wife Shreya. Kareena is playing the role of a prostitute Rozy.
The way Talaash is going, it looks like the film will easily cross Rs 100 crore mark in the Indian market.
