Kumar Sangakkara 11th batsman to make 10000 runs in Test

Kumar Sangakkara has become 11th batsmen to make 10000 runs in Test matches. He scored 58 runs in the ongoing test match against Australia.

He is now 2nd Sri Lankan after Jayawardene to score 10,000 runs in Test matches.

However his effort could not save the fall of wickets and Sri Lanka was all out for just 156 runs in first innings of Melbourne test. Mitchell Johnson took 4 Sri Lankan wickets while Bird, Siddle and Lyon took 2 wickets each.
