Match Schedule of Indian Premier League 2013 released

PEPSI Indian Premier League 2013 will start on 3 April 2013 in Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

The match-schedule of IPL 2013 has officially been announced. 9 IPL teams will play the T20 matches from 3 April 2013 to 26 May 2013 at 11 venues throughout India.

Rajeev Shukla, Chairman, IPL, said, "The countdown to PEPSI IPL 2013 has begun. We are poised to witness a competition that will be as, if not more, spectacular, than its predecessors. The greatest cricketers on this planet will join forces with the stars of the future, to deliver some exhilarating cricket for their respective teams. The teams will play hard, but fair, and the most consistent of the lot will be crowned the PEPSI IPL 2013 Champion on 26 May 2013".

Kolkata Knight Riders, winners of the 2012 edition will play the inaugural match against Delhi Daredevils at their home ground.

Sunrisers Hyderabad who are making their debut in the sixth edition of IPL will play against Pune Warriors India, on 5 April 2013 in Hyderabad.

Each of the 9 participating teams will play the other 8 twice, at home and away. The top four teams will qualify for the Playoffs.

Qualifier 1 and Eliminator games will be played at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on 21 May 2013 and 22 May 2013 respectively.

Qualifier 2 and the Final will be played at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on 24 May 2013 and 26 May 2013 respectively.

The newly built Jharkhand State Cricket Association International Stadium Complex at Ranchi, will also host the last two home games of the Kolkata Knight Riders.

The schedule of all the matches can be checked at the official website of IPL.

PepsiCo with a bid of Rs.396.8 crore has won the title sponsor of the IPL for the five seasons commencing in 2013.
