Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik, who visited New Delhi Friday is likely to meet Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, National Security Adviser Shiv Shankar Menon and Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj on Saturday.
Rehman Malik, who arrived India on a three-day visit on the invitation of Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, said that he has come to India with a message of love and peace while interacting with mediapersons.
The agenda for meeting with the Prime Minister has not been fixed, but it is likely that the two leaders may talk on the Sir Creek issue, apart from the 26/11 case.
The Prime Minister's office had agreed to a morning meeting with Malik.
Earlier on Friday, Malik said the visa agreement would enable the people of the two sides to move freely without any problem.
"I bring with me a message of peace and love, which is very important for our coming generations. I am delighted over the fact that the situation today is not the same as it was five years ago. The visa agreement will enable the people of the two sides to move freely without any problem. That interaction, that meeting, that relationship will bring lot of good for the people," he added.
Malik said the interactions between the Indian and the Pakistani leadership has given an impetus to the peace process.
"I must give credit to my leadership, President Zardari and my Prime Minister, and I would like to give equal credit to the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Chidambaram and of course Mr. Shinde. I must pay my full respects and my appreciation to Mr. Shinde that it happened I am here today. It happened that we had signed the agreement between the two countries," said Malik.
"So, I think the interaction between the leadership had given good results and now because of that good interaction and our journey towards peace is progressing very well because of the interaction of the two governments. And now, especially with the visa regime, with the policy, when the people will interact, I think it also being lot of good for us," he added.
To a poser on whether the new visa regime would come into effect immediately, Malik said, "What me and Mr. Shinde has agreed, it will of course. We are expecting that many people will go. Accordingly, we have made some arrangements on both sides, but what is important is how the both sides can facilitate our people."
