French Open: Saina Nehwal defeats Ratchanok Inthanon of Thailand enters semifinal

World No. 3 badminton player, Saina Nehwal defeated Ratchanok Inthanon of Thailand by 22-20, 22-20 in women's singles quarter-final of the French Open Super Series badminton championship.

Saina has entered in the semifinal and will face fourth-seeded German Juliane Schenk. Juliane defeated Chinese player Chen Xiao Jia by 21-10 21-14 in the quarterfinal.

3-time world junior champion, Ratchanok gave a tough fight to Saina. In the first game Saina took an 11-7 lead and it looked that she will win easily but the Thailand player came up with a brilliant counter-attack.

The same was followed in the second game as well. However at the end of a 42-minute clash, Saina came out as winner.
