Alleged Umpires won't be appointed to any domestic or international matches: ICC

International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided that all the 6 umpires who have been named in a sting operation recently conducted by India TV will not be appointed to any domestic or international cricket matches till the outcome of the ongoing investigations into the allegations made comes out.

ICC said in a statement, "The ICC and its relevant Full Member Boards have agreed not to appoint any of the umpires named in a sting operation recently conducted by India TV to any domestic or international cricket matches".

The sting operation named Operation World Cup was carried out in July, August and September by India TV undercover reporters on umpires, belonging to Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh, willing to fix matches for money during T20 matches.

However ICC said that none of the umpires officiated in the T20 World Cup.

Six umpires are:

• Nadeem Ghauri and Anees Siddiqui of Pakistan
• Nadir Shah of Bangaldesh
• Gamini Dissanayake, Maurice Winston and Sagara Gallage of Sri Lanka
