The 57th Idea Film fare Awards has been announced Sunday night amid stunning performance of Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza.
The Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan and Youngistan icon 'Ranbir Kapoor' hosted the show with their witty and satire anchoring.
After sweeping six trophies in different categories in APSARA Gild Award, "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" (ZNMD) has again dominated in the most prestigious and coveted awards function, by winning seven awards including top two categories – Best Film and Best Director.
ZNMD won the most coveted 'Best Film Award' for the year 2011 and its director Zoya Akhtar won the 'Best Director' award.
Zoya's brother Farhan Akhtar won the two awards for his strong participation in ZNMD. He won the Best Supporting Actor and Best Dialogue writer awards for ZNMD.
Moreover, ZNMD won Best Film (Critics), Best Cinematography (Carlos Catalan), and Best Choreography (Bosco-Caesar for Senorita) awards.
"Rockstar" won five awards in different categories followed by "Delhi Belly" and "The Dirty Picture". Delhi Belly won four while The Dirty picture bagged three.
Out of five 57th film fare awards, Ranbir Kapoor won the two – 'The Best Actor' award and 'The Best Actor (Critics)' award.
The three remaining awards went to Rockstar in Best Lyrics, Best Playback Singer (Male), and Best Music category.
Irshad Kamil for 'Nadaan Parindey', Mohit Chauhan for 'Jo bhi mein' and A R Rehman won the awards respectively.
Delhi Belly won Best Screenplay award (Akshat Verrma), Best Debut Director (Abhinay Deo), Best Production Design (Shashank Tere) and Best Editing (Huzefa Lokhandwala) awards.
However, some debate occurred over selecting Abhinay Deo for Best Debut Director Awards, as few twitter users have twitted that Delhi Belly is not the first film for Abhinay. His first movie as a director is "Game" that was a super flop and was released in 2011.
Viday Balaan won 'The Best Actor (Female)' award for portraying the life story of South Indian sexy siren Silk Smitha in "The Dirty Picture". Niharika Khan won 'The Best Costume' award for making Vidya so sexy and gorgeous in the same movie.
The Dirty Picture also won 'Scene of the Year Award'.
Rani Mukherjee won 'The Best Supporting Actor (female)' award for her role as audacious reporter Meera Gaity in "No One Killed Jessica" while Priyanka Chopra won 'The Best Actor Female (Critics) Award' for her superb performance in "7 Khoon Maaf".
Model turned actor Vidyut Jamwal won the Best Debut (Male) Actor for portraying a psycho killer role in "Force" while Priyanka Chopra's cousin Parineeta Chopra won the Best Debut (Female) award for her humorous role in "Ladies Vs. Ricky Bahl".
Usha Uthap and Rekha Bhardwaj for Darling (7 Khoon Maaf) won 'The Best Playback Singer (Female)' award.
A 'Special Jury Award' went to Partho Gupte for "Stanley Ka Dabba" while Aruna Irani was selected for 'Life Time Achievement Award'.
