New Delhi, Apr 30 (ANI): Murdered teenager Aarushi Talwar's mother Nupur Talwar surrendered before a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Ghaziabad on Monday, following which she was taken into custody.
Minutes after her surrender, Nupur's lawyers moved an application for bail, on which the CBI is expected to give reply in a couple of hours.
The Supreme Court on Friday had asked Nupur o surrender before the Ghaziabad court refusing to stay the non-bailable arrest warrant against her.
Earlier, the special CBI court had issued a non-bailable warrant against Nupur after she failed to appear before it.
In response, Nupur had moved the Supreme Court challenging the non-bailable warrant against her.
Nupur and her husband Dr. Rajesh Talwar have been accused by the CBI of murdering their teenaged daughter Aarushi in May 2008.
Aarushi, 14, was found dead inside her Noida residence with her throat slit. The body of the Talwars' domestic servant Hemraj was recovered from the terrace the next day. (ANI)
