London, Apr 30 (ANI): Kris Humphries, who gave his word to a teenage cancer sufferer that he would fulfil her dream by meeting her, came through on his promise by making her his guest of honour as his New Jersey Nets' took on the Philidelphia 76ers earlier this week.

Kaely Kwitek was glowing with excitement as she posed next to the power forward after the match, even though they had just lost 105-87.

The cheerleader, who has stage four cancer, has now made the touching photograph on her Facebook page.

And Kasey also wrote a message to the legion of fans who supported the Kris 4 Kaely campaign.

"Thank you everyone! Because of you guys I get to meet Kris on Monday! Love you all!" the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

She also sent a message publicly expressing her gratitude to the NBA star.

"Thank you so much for everything. It was so great to meet you!" she said.

Photos of her larking around backstage with her family and friends were also posted on the campaign's Twitter feed.

And after their meeting, a clearly touched Kris sent her a tweet.

"Thanks for coming down to our game @Kris4Kaely You were my favourite guest," he tweeted.

The basketball star is also keen to help her family cover the growing costs of her treatment, and wants to invite her back for more games next season.

"Kris was happy to be in the company of a young lady who is beautiful both inside and out, and was happy to do this for her," a source said.

"Kris has a really big heart and it's nice that the public is finally seeing it," the source said.

Kwitek's stepfather Dan Dryer praised Humphries' generosity.

"She is a guest of Kris Humphries," he said.

"He flew her down there, put her up in a room, and gave her courtside VIP tickets to the game where she will meet him afterward," he added. (ANI)
