Now, hardline Jamaat-e-Islami party declares war on nudity, vulgarity in Pak

Karachi , Sat, 28 Apr 2012 ANI

Karachi, Apr 28 (ANI): Pakistan's hardline Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) party observed an Anti-Vulgarity Day in Karachi, where prayer leaders delivered sermons in Friday prayers against promotion of nudity and vulgarity in Pakistan.

The JI demanded that the government take immediate action against promoters of nudity, saying that Pakistan was created as an Islamic Welfare State, but enemies of Islam and Pakistan have spread Hindu and Western culture in the country, The Nation reported.

JI Karachi Chief Muhammad Hussain Mehanti blamed the electronic media and advertisers for promoting nudity, vulgarism and immodesty in the country. These were planned efforts to ruin the moral of the young generation, he said.

He appealed to the people to join hands with JI in its struggle to eliminate nudity and vulgarity from Pakistan. (ANI)
