Melbourne, Apr 28 (ANI): A large number of men are reportedly spending more money than ever on their wedding rings.
Traditional plain gold bands are waning in popularity, with mixed metals, engravings and inset diamonds rapidly gaining favour.
According to jeweller Ken Anania, the modern groom is happy to spend up to 5000 dollars on a signature ring.
Couples are marrying older - 31.4 for men and 29.2 for women - and have firm views on their wedding.
Daniel and Laura McMahon, married four years next week, still remember the time Daniel took to find his wedding band.
"I wanted something I could wear on a daily basis, something I loved and will be happy to keep forever. Because it does symbolise something so important to me I wanted to make sure it was a really special ring," the Daily Telegraph quoted Daniel as saying.
"Out of all the wedding preparations the only thing Daniel really had a say in was his ring, he didn't even get to pick his own tux," he said. (ANI)
