Washington, Apr 27 (ANI): The man, who held the Guinness World Record for living the longest with a bullet in his head, died on Monday at Covenant Village in Turlock. He was 103.
William Lawlis Pace died in his sleep at a California nursing home, the Modesto Bee newspaper reported.
Born on Feb. 27, 1909, in Wheeler, Texas, Pace was just 8 years old when his brother, Marvin, accidentally shot him, with their father's .22 caliber rifle, in October 1917.octors left the bullet in place, fearing he wouldn't survive surgery to remove it.
But, it didn't stop him from playing baseball and basketball as a boy.
The injury damaged one of his eyes but did not prevent Pace from working as a farmer and cemetery custodian.
He went on to enjoy a marriage that lasted 71 years and produced two sons.
His final Guinness World Record is at 94 years and six months. (ANI)
