London, Apr 27 (ANI): The world's first "pregnant man" has claimed that he split from his wife as she used to beat him up in front of the children and hit him in the crotch.
Transsexual Thomas Beatie, 38, gave birth in 2008 and has since had three children with wife Nancy, 49, whom he claims is a violent drunk.
She has since filed court papers saying that Beatie was abusive in the relationship.
Divorce papers filed by him say that in January he woke up to find her leaning over to punch him in the face.
"This night, like every night, Nancy hovers over me, threatening me with physical... emotional abuse," the Mirror quoted the divorce papers as reading.
A US judge has banned Nancy from visiting him or the children outside set times.
Hormone treatment ensures that while Beatie is able to grow a beard and looks male, she still has female reproductive organs. (ANI)
