Sirsa (Haryana), April 26 (IANS) Stray dogs mauled a minor girl to death in a village in Haryana's Sirsa district Thursday, police said.
The victim, Seema, was mauled by the dogs in agricultural fields near Bahia village in Sirsa district, 300 km from Chandigarh.
Police officials said that the victim, aged nine years, and her brother had gone to the fields to collect something, when they were surrounded by 10-12 dogs.
While her brother managed to run away, Seema was attacked by the dogs.
The parents of the victim were working in nearby fields but could not reach the spot in time to help her.
