New Delhi, Apr 23 (ANI): After a recess of three weeks the second phase of parliament's budget session will resume on Tuesday as the central government is prepares to get important legislations such as the Banking Reforms Bill, Insurance Bill, Pension and Lokpal Bill pass in within this session.
The Lok Sabha is expected to discuss the demands for grants of the ministries of health and family welfare, urban development, commerce and industry, and home affairs.
The Rajya Sabha will have debates on the working of the ministries of civil aviation, coal, defence, and labour and employment.
BJP has demanded a discussion on defence where it intends to raise several contentious issues of the recent past related to the ministry.
Besides seeking to bring allies on board, the government is working towards reaching an understanding with the opposition on crucial bills and smooth conduct of business in the House.
Minister for State in Prime Minister's Office V Narayanaswamy had earlier in the day assured that it will table the Lokpal Bill in the Rajya Sabha.
The budget session will conclude on May 22 if the government does not extend its sitting further. (ANI)
