London, Apr 22 (ANI): Chelsea owner, Roman Abhramovich is ready to pay whatever it takes to get Jose Mourinho back at the club after he settled his differences with the Real Madrid manager.
Abramovich and Mourinho parted ways back in 2007 but relations have improved to a such a great extent, that Abrmaovich is ready to sanction wages of more than nine million pounds a year after tax, and a compensation bill for Madrid of 25million pounds.
"'Such is Roman's determination to bring back Mourinho that he is prepared to top Jose's Madrid wages and pay compensation to buy out the remaining two years of his contract," the Daily Mail quoted a Chelsea source, as saying.
Abramovich believes he needs a strong and experienced manager for the rebuilding job at Chelsea this summer.
Mourinho is Abramovich's first choice to take care of the future of the club's players, but French coach Laurent Blanc, Marseille manager Didier Deschamps and Luciano Spalletti, in charge at Zenit St. Petersburg, firmly believe that the Real Madrid boss cannot be persuaded to return.
The current Stand-in manager of Chelsea, Roberto di Matteo, though has done a good job by bringing the club to the brink of the Champions League final as well as to the FA Cup final and restored the morale of the players, but it seems he still has a long way to go, to convince Abramovich to change his mind about Mourinho.
