Karachi, Apr 22 (ANI): Bangladesh's Sheikh Jamal Football Club (SJFC) is bearing the brunt of Pakistan Football Federation's (PFF) ire after backing out of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President's Cup scheduled to take off from May 8 in Lahore.
PFF Secretary Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi has lashed out at SJFC after it refused to visit Pakistan, citing security reasons.
According to Lodhi, a full security plan was sent to them by the PFF last month.
"It is very disappointing and we have asked the AFC to ban them," Lodhi told the Express ribune.
Another matter of concern for the PFF is arranging visas for Taipei's Taiwan Power Company (TPC) club, as Pakistan does not recognise the state according to its foreign policy.
"Their case is being processed with the help of the Thai embassy and we're hoping they get visas on time," Lodhi said.
Apart from TPC, Pakistan national champions Kahuta Research Laboratories FC and Mongolian Erchim FC will take part in the event.(ANI)
