David Hussey's ultimate dream is to play Test cricket

Dubai, Apr 21 (ANI): David Hussey, who was one of the top scorers for the Australia team in the tri-series involving India and Sri Lanka and followed it up with another half-century against the West Indies before coming to play the IPL, has said that his ultimate dream is to play Test cricket for his country.

"Yes, I am glad that I could do well against teams like India and Sri Lanka," Hussey told Gulf News.

Hussey is yet to play a single Test match for Australia despite being a prolific scorer in the shorter format of the game.

"Test cricket is the ultimate dream for any cricketer and hopefully my chance is around the corner. I will do anything to get more runs and press my claims because of the tough competition to get into the team," he said.

Hussey is following Australia's Test series in the Caribbean from India and is not surprised it has turned out to be a close one.

"The one-day series was quite a competitive one and the West Indies even had their nose ahead in the first Test before we turned things around," he said. (ANI)
