Beijing, April 20 (IANS) A 60-year-old teacher in a primary school of China has been accused of molesting 10 girl students of third-grade, a media report said.
According to the victim girls, Xing Guofu, who teaches in Yaoji village in Xinyang city, began his molestation last September. He threatened them to keep quiet or else they would be severely punished, reported Shanghai Daily citing Henan Business Daily.
His actions came to light April 9, when a mother surnamed Xu found injuries to her 8-year-old daughter's genital while giving her a bath. She later revealed about her teacher's behaviour, the report said.
The next day, Xu's husband was shocked to learn about other girls' molestation. The outraged parents took their daughters to a hospital, where tests confirmed that they had been molested.
Police said they have detained the schoolteacher.
