McLaren ace Hamilton says he doesn't feel like walking away

London, Apr 17(ANI): McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton, whose contract with his team comes to an end after this season, has made it clear he has never thought about walking away.

After finishing third in China for the third race in succession on Sunday to take a two point lead over teammate Jenson Button, Hamilton admitted it would be hard to walk away from the Woking operation, which gave him his F1 break in 2007.

"Yeah, it would. I don't feel like walking away. I've not sat down and thought about my future. I have just sat down and thought about this year," The Daily Mirror quoted Hamilton, as saying.

"Hopefully, I will still be here in the coming years in Formula One, which is what I want now," he added.

But as Hamilton prepared for Sunday's Bahrain Grand Prix Hamilton, he said he needs no extra incentive other than a competitive car that can give him the chance to win races.

"It is not about being persuaded. I don't need persuading. When I need to, which can be within any time frame I want, so long as it is before next year, then I will decide about my future. But the team is doing fantastic. I could not be happier in the team," Hamilton added. (ANI)
