London, Apr 16 (ANI): Doncaster striker, El Hadji Diouf was arrested yesterday on suspicion of violent disorder after he got into brawl involving pals of former team-mate and Queen Park Rangers player Anton Ferdinand.
According to reports, Diouf, 31, who had arrived with wife Valerie at the Circle Bar in Manchester City Centre at 3 a.m., is believed to have suffered a face wound and was quizzed by police for several hours before being bailed, The Sun reports.
Reports also claimed that a friend of Ferdinand is possibly in a "serious" condition in hospital with head and neck injuries which are thought to have been inflicted with a broken glass or bottle.
A total of six men were held and QPR defender Ferdinand, 27, was interviewed under caution, but not arrested. "It's not clear what started the fight but it became very nasty very, very quickly," a witness of the ugly row, was quoted as saying.
The bad blood between the players is said to have been on since their Sunderland playing days. The Senegal star Diouf had allegedly even threatened to "knife" Ferdinand after a bust-up on the pitch in 2009. (ANI)
