New Delhi, April 16 (IANS) After almost a week of pleasant weather, the capital witnessed a hot day Monday with the maximum temperature shooting to 35.6 degrees Celsius -- one notch below average.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 18.3 degrees -- three notches below average -- and the humidity wavered between a high of 88 percent and a low of 24 percent.
The met department has forecast partly cloudy sky towards the evening Tuesday.
According to the India Meteorological Department, the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover between 27 and 20 degrees Celsius, respectively.
