Gangtok, April 16 (IANS) ONGC qualified for the next edition of I-League when they played a 1-1 draw against Aizawl FC in their last match this season here Monday.
ONGC finished on 22 points from 12 outings. Alhassan Abubakr restored parity for ONGC after Sumaila Safianu had put Aizawl FC in the lead in the 30th minute.
The second place would be finalised when Kolkata's Mohammedan Sporting take on United Sikkim Football Club Tuesday. A draw for United Sikkim will earn them a ticket to the next edition of the I-League while Mohammedan Sporting need a win.
United Sikkim are on 21 points while Mohammedan Sporting are on 20 points. Both teams have played 11 matches each.
