Wellington, April 16 (ANI): Scarlett Johansson has revealed that she took her A-game to the set of 'The Avengers'.
The stunning actress plays the Black Widow in the comic book action adventure, which also stars Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson and Chris Hemsworth.
Johansson romped rough with the boys on set and participated in physically rigorous action sequences, Stuff.co.nz reported.
"I came in knowing that that was going to be a challenge and I brought my A-game. Nobody took it easy on me," she told People magazine.
"They were in full force, these boys, and I guess at times I had to remind them, like, 'I need my beauty sleep to keep up the visage.' They liked to play hard," she stated.
One scene in particular was incredibly hard for Johansson.
"[H]e was going all-out against me. I was like, 'Will you hold it back? I'm trying to work it out here. I've got smaller muscles than you,'" she shared.
"I feel like they did try to kill me for five or six months. But it's OK. I held my own," the actress added.
Johansson enjoyed looking fierce in her costume while she was kicking butt. Unfortunately the garment didn't hold up at the end of the punishing shoot.
"I love it. I can't get enough of it. I think [the costume] was just shredded [at the end]. I don't think I even had enough to take home. There was like this much fabric left after all those fight sequences," Scarlett gushed.
'The Avengers' is due for release in New Zealand on May 26. (ANI)
