Glasgow, April 16 (ANI): Cricket legend Sir Ian Botham has raised an unbelievable amount of 25,000 pounds in a day through road collection alone for charity work.
Botham is on an historic charity drive for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, the only charity dedicated to research into blood cancers, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, the Daily Mirror reported.
He was saluted by hundreds of well-wishers on the third day of his 160-mile fund raising campaign.
"The support's been amazing. As long as the sun keeps shining, we'll be laughing," the 56-year-old Botham said.
Botham started his charity walk in Glasgow on Friday.
He finished his charity walk in Richmond, South West London, on Saturday.ince his first charity trek in 1985, he has raised over 13 million pounds for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. (ANI)
