Washington, Apr 15 (ANI): Michelle Obama has found a new pen pal in Beyonce Knowles.
Two days after the 30-year-old singer wrote a heartfelt and handwritten thank you letter on her official website, the First Lady, 48, responded via Twitter on Friday.
"Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to," the Us magazine quoted her as tweeting.
In her open letter, the singer had praised the US President's wife for being "the ultimate example of a truly strong African American woman."
The 16-time Grammy Award winner has been a long time supporter of the Obama family, as she performed Etta James' "At Last" during the 2008 inaugural ball.
In 2011, she teamed up with the Michelle as part of Obama's 'Let's Move' campaign. (ANI)
