Seven electrocuted to death in Jharkhand

Ranchi, April 13 (IANS) Seven people were electrocuted to death in Jharkhand's Chatra district when an electric wire carrying 11,000 volts fell on a jeep carrying them, police said

 

According to police, a jeep carrying a marriage party hit an electric pole after the driver lost control of the vehicle near Asari village of Chatra district, which is around 160 km from Ranchi. The electric wire fell on the jeep and it caught fire, killing seven people.

 

The injured people have been admitted in a local hospital.
