Gilani's son 'wanted for alleged role in drug quota scandal' flies out of Pak

Islamabad, Apr 11 (ANI): Son of Pakistan Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, Ali Musa, has reportedly left for South Africa before his name could be placed on the Exit Control List (ECL) for his alleged role in a Rs 7 billion drug quota scandal.

The Pakistan Supreme Court yesterday issued a notice to Ali Musa in a case relating to alleged irregularities in the import of a large amount of the chemical Ephedrine.he Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) had requested the interior ministry to add his name on the ECL.

But Ali Musa who was recently elected to the National Assembly, left for South Africa and is expected to travel to the UK too, The Express Tribune reports.

According to his personal secretary, it is a scheduled visit and Ali Musa is likely to return on May 2, 2012.

Meanwhile, sources in the interior ministry as well the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) confirmed that Ali Musa had not been placed on the ECL. (ANI)
