London, Apr 11(ANI): World number four Andy Murray has said he is feeling quite good ahead of the Wimbledon warm-up, as he gears up for a huge summer.
Murray also has the Olympics in his sights, which he also considers as a fifth slam.
Last year, he reached the semi-finals of all four Grand Slams before also making the semis of the Australian Open again in January.
Murray feels he has never been more confident, and believes coach Ivan Lendl is outstanding, after he teamed up with him back in December.
"Last year in terms of the Majors was my best year on the tour for that. But I feel much more confident about my game now. I feel I am in a good place, playing some good tennis," The Daily Mirror quoted Murray, as saying."In practice I have been playing well and training hard and that is what gives me the confidence. I feel like my game is better and I am better equipped but I still have to go on court and be in physically great shape to win one of the slams."Ivan has been a big help with that because he has some fresh ideas and experience. He has a good understanding on how to play in the slams as well. We have worked on a few different things which he identified to beat the top guys consistently which is what the goal really is and to win the slams," he added.Murray stressed on the need of constantly working hard to improve, so that he can finally win his first ever Grand Slam.
"I have been close a few times but if I don't work on things and try and improve and learn I am not going to get there," he said. (ANI)
