UP to keep tab on employees

Lucknow, April 11 (IANS) Reporting late work will not be tolerated any more by the Uttar Pradesh government.

In a terse "direct to point" letter, Chief Secretary Jawed Usmani has asked all departmental heads of the government to ensure that employees in their care reported for work on time.

Usmani also asked the officials to lead their juniors by example.

Adverse entries would be made in case the errant employees did not stick to their work timings, the letter said.

All principal secretaries and departmental heads have been asked to make surprise inspections in offices.
