London, Apr 10(ANI): A video has shown the windowless prison of former Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden's widows, children and grandchildren
The footage shows a young boy stacking teddies in a rocking chair, another grabbing a cricket bat, as three women look on, The Telegraph reports.
The footage obtained by Al Arabiya indicated that the tight security surrounds Bin Laden's family, which is currently serving a 45-day prison sentence for illegally entering Pakistan.
His three wives and two of his eldest daughters were earlier convicted of immigration offences, which observers believe is the first step to sending them home.
They have been held in Pakistan's custody ever since bin Laden was shot dead by US Navy Seals in May 2011.
Mohammed Amir Khalil, the family's lawyer, said talks to get them repatriated were underway.
"Physically they are quite well and are being treated properly. Psychologically, of course, then detention is having an effect and it is important they are allowed home soon," he said.
He said he was confident that their deportation would be arranged by the time their sentence end on April 18.
"The documents are almost ready for the Yemeni wife. For the Saudi wives there are still some things to be arranged. Saudi Arabia was initially unwilling to take them back but there is some hope," he added. (ANI)
