London, Apr 10 (ANI): Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli will speak to his club at the end of the season to determine his future after manager Roberto Mancini stated that he would "probably" try to sell him off this summer.
"At the end of the season I will speak with the club and we'll see," the BBC quoted Balotelli, as saying in his statement.
"I'm very sorry for what happened and for the disappointment caused to City," he said, adding further that his apologies were directed "especially to Roberto Mancini, who I admire and wish well," he added.
His statement came amid reports claiming that Balotelli was being considered to drop off the team after the latter was awarded a red card in Sunday's 1-0 loss to Arsenal in the English Premier League.
Balotelli was sent off in the 90th minute for a second bookable offence and subsequently City lost the game at the Emirates Stadium.
Mario now faces a nine-game ban following his fourth dismissal in two seasons with the club though he escaped punishment for a challenge on Alex Song early in the match.
Balotelli had reportedly called Italian coach Cesare Prandelli to apologize but he ordered his player to apologize publicly. (ANI)
