Gavin Henson's ex calls him an idiot who can't handle his drink

London, Apr 10 (ANI): Gavin Henson's former girlfriend Carianne Barrow has hit out at the rugby star after he was axed from his team Cardiff Blues for drunken behaviour.

Henson's ex, who he chose as "The One" on his reality show 'The Bachelor', has called him "an idiot" when he's drunk.

In an interview for New! magazine, Barrow has opened up about her six-month relationship with the sportsman, and chastised him for failing to get his boozing under control.

She talked about his behaviour when he's under the influence

"He's an idiot. Just really annoying, uncontrollable and won't listen," the Daily Mail quoted her as telling the publication.

"It was like babysitting a small child," she said.

Barrow said that Henson wouldn't drink often, but when he did he would take it too far, and admitted she thinks he is "too selfish" to be in a relationship.

"He doesn't know when to stop. We were together for six months and, as a rule, he didn't drink much.

"But when he did, he drank uncontrollably. He couldn't handle his alcohol," she added.

Her comments come just a week after Henson was dropped from the Cardiff team, following his drunken behaviour on a flight back from Glasgow a few days before.

The 30-year-old star, who once dated singer Charlotte Church, apologised for his actions saying he was "truly embarrassed", but he has been dismissed with immediate effect following a meeting of the team management.

The club described his behaviour as "unacceptable" and cancelled his eight-month contract. (ANI)
