Yesterday once more with Indian film fest in Russia

New Delhi, April 9 (IANS) It'll be yesterday once more when 15 Bollywood movies including "3 Idiots", "Ishqiya" and "Fashion"



are screened in Moscow and St. Petersburg at a film festival to mark 65 years of diplomatic relations between India and Russia.


The festival will revive memories of the 1950s and 1960s when the late Raj Kapoor and other actors of his time were a huge hit with audiences in the erstwhile Soviet Union.


The 10-day festival will start April 13 in Moscow and will travel to St. Petersburg after three days, said a statement.Filmmaker Raju Hirani along with actors R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi will attend the festival. They will be joined by cinematographers Jyoti Singh and Kaushik Chawla, who will meet students studying in film institutes there.


The festival is being organised by Routes 2 Roots, a Delhi-based NGO, Art Center Bereg-an NGO in Russia, Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF) and Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).


Some of the other movies that will be premiered for Russian audiences during the festival are "Johdaa Akbar", Taare Zameen Par", "Wake Up Sid", "Delhi-6", "Jab We Met", "Agneepath", "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna", "I Hate Love Stories" and "Corporate" subtitled in Russian.


Telugu film "Kannathil Mutha Mittal" and Marathi film "Tarayanche Bait" will also be the part of festival.


Nizami Brothers will also give a qawali performance.
