London, Apr 8(ANI): Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has rued losing silly points at crucial stages of the Premier League title race, and believes the club is suffering due to it.
City have dropped seven points in their last four games, and their arch-rivals will be eight ahead today if they beat QPR and City lose at Arsenal, although Toure is confident the title race isn't over yet.
"We have made mistakes at the wrong time and now, ultimately, we face the moment of truth," The Sun quoted Toure, as saying.
"We hoped United wouldn't win at Blackburn - which would have given us a lifeline - but the result has gone against us and now we face a very difficult game against Arsenal. The title is getting difficult although it's not lost and we are going to fight until the bitter end," he added
"But if we don't take three points, the situation will be almost impossible. We have thrown away points in a silly way and that has killed us. But if we want to go on and become a great team, we have to learn from this difficult experience. We have to deal better with pressure and expectations than we have done," he said.
Toure said if City wants to become Europe's best team then they have to become England's best team first.
"People talk about City becoming Europe's best team and, in time, that is possible. But, first, we must become the best team in England before we can even start to think about such success," he said. (ANI)
