Lead golf analyst Faldo says Woods has 'lost his mind'

London, Sun, 08 Apr 2012 ANI

London, Apr 8 (ANI): Lead golf analyst, Sir Nick Faldo has questioned the mental state of Tiger Woods, after witnessing his erratic performance at the 2010 Masters Golf Tournament held at Augusta National Golf club.

Woods failed to make any impression on the leaders, and appeared to be out of contention after his level-par 72 followed the previous day's 75.

Nick minced no words in criticizing Woods, and described some of his swings as "dreadful", claiming that his distance control is lousy, and he can't hole a putt.

"I think we can safely say Tiger has lost his game and his mind. He's one of the greatest players of all time and he hasn't a clue how to put the clubface on the ball right now," the Express.co.uk quoted Faldo as saying.

Nick said that Tiger was becoming like the rest of them, which he wasn't and he seemed paranormal.

Faldo said: "Suddenly, he was seen getting affected by poor shots. He's running on sheer frustration."

Woods had been capable of wild shots, but the extent to which his game unraveled over the first two days at Augusta was alarming.

His putting on day one was the only reason, which saved him from missing his first cut at Augusta as a professional. (ANI)
