Islamabad, April 7 (IANS) Members of Pakistan's Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) burnt American flags and shouted slogans against India to denounce the US for announcing reward money for their chief Hafiz Saeed's arrest.
The demonstration was held Friday at the Karachi Press Club to express solidarity with Saeed, Geo News reported Saturday. He is founder of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist organisation.
On April 2, the US announced an award of up to $10 million for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Saeed and $2 million for Hafiz Adbul Rahman Makki.
India has repeatedly demanded the arrest of Hafiz Saeed for his role in the Mumbai terror attack of 2008.
Calling the US "the enemy of Islam", JUD supporters criticised it for randomly labelling people as terrorists and putting bounty on them. They burnt American flags while raising slogans against the US and India.
